2023 FEAST OF CORPUS CHRISTI - Thursday, June 8 from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Corpus Christi Cathedral. Over the course of the day, there will be Holy Mass, reconciliation, reflections, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and a 2-mile Eucharistic procession through the uptown area. All parishes, schools and ministries are encouraged to bring their signs, banners and wear their ministry shirts for the procession. All altar servers from around the diocese are strongly encouraged to bring their cassocks and be part of the procession. All who received First Holy Communion and Confirmation this year are invited to lead the procession in their white outfit. Those unable to attend in person are invited to watch a special livestream of the day's events on the Diocese of Corpus Christi's Youtube channel and/or the Facebook. The Office of Multicultural Ministry is accepting donations for our Feast of Corpus Christi: bottled waters, food for during the day, volunteers for ushers and the procession, as well as any monetary donations. Fr. Emilio will be attending a priest workshop beginning Monday June 5 through Wednesday June 7. There will be no Mass celebration at the parish on Wednesday June 7, however please know the scheduled Mass intention will be remembered that day during Father's private Mass. There will be a communion service at the parish on Wednesday, June 7.
Confessions will be made available to our parishioners at St. Mary, Star of the Sea. Confessions will be heard from 6 pm to 7 pm in what was formerly know as the “Library”, which is the room located next to the choir area of the church. The Sacrament will be celebrated each First Friday of the month until further notice. Private confessions can still be scheduled through the parish office. Masks must be worn and social distancing must be observed. The options of behind the screen and face to face confession will be made available. Please observe signs and instructions regarding where to line up for the reception of the Sacrament.

Catholic Daughters of the Americas, court 2605 is hosting a Crowning of Mary ceremony. On Saturday May 13th, after the 5 pm Mass. All are welcome to join us in honoring our heavenly Mother, Mary. We will gather in the front parking lot by the statue of Mary. We will sing songs & recite the Rosary. We will place a crown of flowers on Mary & all are welcome to place their own flowers. R.C.I.A. Class will meet on Thursday, April 27th from 7 pm – 8:30 pm in the parish hall. If you are missing a Sacrament or need to have your marriage blessed, have questions about the Catholic faith or would like to join the Catholic faith, please join us.
If you would like to add a mother’s name, living or deceased, to the mother’s day novena, please get an envelope located on the table in the foyer and write their name on it. Envelopes may be placed in the collection basket next weekend or returned to the parish office.
